AL-SUDANI GIVES SECURITY SERVICES GO-AHEAD TO STEP UP THEIR INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY MEASURES

All security services have been ordered to bolster their security and intelligence efforts by Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

According to a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces' spokesman, Major General Yehia Rasool said that  "PM Al-Sudani chaired on Wednesday evening, a regular session of the Ministerial Council for National Security, during which they discussed developments in the security situation in the country and the efforts of the security forces in confronting the remnants of Daesh , confronting organized crime and drug trafficking, as well as taking the necessary decisions and directives on them."

The criminal justice data integration project's first and crucial stages, which ensure transparency in the completion of detainees' paperwork in accordance with human rights standards, were approved to be completed, he continued. The council also reviewed the preliminary studies of the unified system project for automating and completing them in a way that secures appropriate digital procedures away from security breach.
