Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi confirmed today, Tuesday, that Iraq is looking forward to strengthening the existing partnership with the United States of America, within the framework of the strategic agreement.

The media office of the Speaker of Parliament stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Al-Halbousi received today the Assistant Secretary of State of the United States of America for Near East Affairs, Barbara Leaf, and her accompanying delegation, and the meeting discussed bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various fields, In addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues and files of common interest.
