Acting Speaker of Iraq's House of Representatives and President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, met on Wednesday, in Baku, with the President of the Azerbaijani National Council, Sahiba Gafarova, and during the meeting, it was agreed to coordinate visions and positions in regional and international forums issues of common interest, in addition to exchanging experiences at the legislative level and expanding cooperation in all fields.

Al-Mandalawi stressed according to the statement “the effort, through Parliament and the Joint Friendship Committee, to form a cooperation circle and build up a program to develop relations between the two countries.”
