A total of 9,477 new businesses were registered during in Albania in the first five months of 2018, Albanian General Directorate of Taxation informed on Sunday.

According to GDT data, the highest number of businesses, a total of 2,359, was registered in January.

Meanwhile, during the first five months of 2018, the number of the de-registered businesses reached 1,648.

According to the data, most of the businesses are concentrated in the capital city of Tirana, where only in the first quarter of the year there were 2,532 registered businesses in the National Center of Businesses.
