U.S. Embassy in Iraq, on Thursday affirmed that the framework agreement between the Ministry of Oil and Chevron’s is an important first step toward strengthening Iraq’s energy infrastructure.

“We are thrilled to see Iraq partnering with major U.S. companies, as the Chevron’s new framework agreement with the Ministry of Oil is an important first step toward strengthening Iraq’s energy infrastructure, workforce development, and advancing its energy independence through U.S. technology and expertise,” stated the U.S. Embassy in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
