Uzbekistan and Iraq have agreed to establish a “green corridor” to simplify logistics and customs procedures.

Uzbekistan proposed Iraq to reduce customs duties on imports of Uzbek fruits and vegetables from 20-30 per cent to 5 per cent, in a move aimed at boosting bilateral agricultural trade, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov and Iraq’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Administrative Affairs Mahdi Sahar al-Jubouri.
