The United Nations team affirmed on Thursday its strong partnership with the Iraqi government to support national development priorities.

A statement issued by the United Nations, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "with the conclusion of the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), the United Nations team in Iraq continues its work under the leadership of the United Nations Resident Coordinator."

The statement added that "the United Nations team is working in close partnership with the Government of Iraq to support national development priorities through the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Document (2025–2029), which was signed on December 25, 2025."
