UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for Cyprus(*), Maria Angela Holguin, said that the trilateral meeting scheduled for Wednesday will focus on the four points and methodology proposed by Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman several months ago.

Speaking after her meeting with Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides, Holguin expressed regret that little progress had been made on confidence-building measures between the two sides since her previous visit to the island.

Holguin said she hoped to intensify efforts to achieve further progress on confidence-building measures and noted that she would meet Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman later in the day.
