Hurriyet Daily News, March 01 2018
Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar paid an official visit to the Iraqi capital Baghdad on March 1, Turkish media reported.
According to the reports, the main topic on the agenda of the visit was the operations against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
The Turkish military said on March 1 that four PKK militants were “neutralized” in an airstrike in northern Iraq.
Turkish authorities often use the word “neutralized” in their statements to imply the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
