Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirodjiddin Aslov invited the UN Secretary General to visit Tajikistan during the meeting in New-York.

The talks with the UN Secretary General António Guterres were held on March 21 in New-York, reports the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan.

Aslov during the talks has briefed on the efforts of Tajikistan on prevention of the natural disasters in the country.

The Tajik diplomat also informed the UN Secretary General about cooperation and assistance of the relevant UN bodies in fighting terrorism and illicit drug trafficking, strengthening social and economic development of the country in the framework of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The meeting also addressed the soonest restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan and further cooperation in this sphere.
