The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, called on the Arab and Islamic countries to take a unified and firm stance to support Gaza and Lebanon.

Al-Mashhadani received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Iraq, Sultan Mubarak Khalifa Al-Kubaisi. During the meeting, Al-Kubaisi congratulated Al-Mashhadani on the occasion of his assumption of the presidency of the House of Representatives, said the media office of the Speaker of the Parliament in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included that "the two parties discussed the most prominent current issues in the arena, most notably the war waged by the Zionist entity against Gaza and Lebanon."
