Serbia sent 55 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to the Serb-majority municipalities in the north of Kosovo on December 24 without informing the authorities in Pristina, BIRN has learned – an intervention that sparked anger in Pristina.
The vaccines were initially intended for Kosovo Serb healthcare workers, but they declined the injections and gave them to elderly people with chronic illnesses instead, an informed source told BIRN.
