The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) will observe the upcoming presidential election in Azerbaijan, President of the OSCE PA George Tsereteli, told APA on Tuesday.

He said that Portuguese MP Nilza Sena was appointed as a special coordinator for this purpose.

"This is a short-term mission. The observers are expected to arrive in Azerbaijan 3-4 days prior to the voting day. I don’t know the exact number of the observers, but the mission should include 15-16 members,” Tsereteli added.

The presidential election in Azerbaijan will be held on April 11.
