Serbia reacted angrily to the trilateral meeting between the defense chiefs of Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia in Tirana, which aimed to deepen military cooperation and coordination.

The Ministry of Defense in Belgrade is describing this 'as a serious violation of Resolution 1244', while emphasizing that efforts to further institutionalize and strengthen the Kosovo Security Force through regional military agreements represent a direct blow to the international legal order and a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.

"This action represents a clear disregard and serious violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Kumanovo Military-Technical Agreement. Kosovo is an integral part of the Republic of Serbia, under the interim administration of the UN, and KFOR is the only legitimate armed formation on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, with a clearly defined mandate," the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
