Working meeting of Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov and Tajikistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Azim Ibrohim, also regular meeting of the topographic and legal working groups of the Government Delegations of the two countries on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border took place in Batken Oblast on Oct.16, 2019.

The meetings were held within the framework of agreements, reached between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Oct.11, 2019 in Ashgabat.

During the meeting, the deputy PMs of the countries exchanged views on activating the continuation of the description of the project line of the state border in the remaining areas, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.

A permanent working group will work, aimed at achieving concrete results on early resolution of issues on delimitation and demarcation of the state border.

The heads of delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan gave specific instructions to work within the framework of permanent expert groups on topographic and legal issues, which have started working in the border areas of the two countries.
