Tirana will host tomorrow the fourth meeting of the Management Unit for the Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline (IAP) project.

Present in this meeting will not only be personalities from domestic energy institutions, but also representatives of international institutions and experts of this domain.

Let us recall that the Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline (IAP) is the second most important project after the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) not only for the Albanian economy, but also for the countries of the region.

This project consists on a 516 km long pipeline which will connect to TAP in the area of Fier, in central Albania, to continue in Montenegro, Bosnia and end in Split, Croatia.

The main objective of this project is to carry 5 billion cubic meters of gas every year, coming from Azerbaijan toward Southeastern European countries.
