The head of Iraq's State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, discussed with the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, on Wednesday, the reconstruction of southern Lebanon destroyed by the Zionist aggression.

Al-Maliki's office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, received in his office today the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, Ali al-Habhab. At the beginning of the meeting, they exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan."

According to the statement, al-Maliki emphasized "the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries. The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian and Lebanese arenas and exchanged views on them." He noted "Iraq's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and increase cooperation and joint action for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples."
