Iraq's Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani affirmed on Thursday, Iraq’s pride in the distinguished relationship with Bahrain.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Iraq, Khaled Ahmed Al-Mansour, on the occasion of assuming his duties, as he welcomed him and wished him success in his mission."

The statement explained, "The meeting witnessed a review of aspects of enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly countries at various levels and fields, as the ambassador conveyed to the Prime Minister the greetings of the Crown Prince of Bahrain, His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Bahraini government, and his desire to consolidate and develop bilateral relations, in particular In the field of air transport, and the possibility of opening new carrier airlines between Manama and a number of other Iraqi cities.
