AKIPRESS.COM - One more former employee of the anti-corruption agency of Tajikistan was arrested on suspicion of corruption, a source familiar with the matter said.

According to the source, detainee was identified as Kosim Saidzoda, he was arrested a week ago. He is charged with large-scale bribery, the source said.

His arrest followed interrogation of previously arrested ex-employees of the anti-corruption agency, who confirmed Saidzoda's taking bribes.

Saidzoda served in the anti-corruption agency since its foundation. He started working as an investigator and became chief of the main department fighting against economic crimes.

A wave of arrests of ex-employees of the anti-corruption agency in Tajikistan started since late April 2017, when at least 10 top investigators and officials of Tajikistan's anti-corruption agency have been arrested.
