A group of Diaspora Armenians has been rallying against the possible closure of the Ministry of Diaspora since morning. 

Protesters say the closure of the Ministry will be illogical. “We have a strong Diaspora and must have a Diaspora Ministry,” says Astghik Panosyan, one of the participants.

The demonstrators note that Armenia does not have diplomatic representations in every country, and the Ministry of Diaspora has always been in touch with the Armenian communities worldwide.

After a rally in front of the Ministry of Diaspora, protesters were joined by a group of Ministry staff to march to the Government building to hand a letter to acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
