A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Oktyabr Urmambetov arrived in Uzbekistan for a working visit, the press service of the Uzbek Interior Ministry said Tuesday.

During the visit, the leadership of the Uzbek Interior Ministry held an official meeting with their Kyrgyz colleagues.

The sides discussed issues of bilateral interagency cooperation, including the intensification of the exchange of professional experience, professional development and other issues of mutual interest.

The Kyrgyz delegation were familiarized in detail with the process of ongoing reforms in the Uzbek Interior Ministry, the positive results of the introduction of information technology in the activities of the system, as well as work on reducing and preventing crime.

In addition, the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry plans to study the activities of the internal affairs bodies of Tashkent city and Samarkand Region.
