Speaking about his visit to NATO headquarters in Brussels on Friday, Serbia's defense minister told Pink TV that the Partnership for Peace program is the optimal level of cooperation with the western military alliance.

"We will continue to train together, to learn from them, and we will let them know they should not expect us to become a part of NATO, or any no other military alliance," Vulin said.
After his visit to Brussels - the defense minister is traveling to Moscow, for a visit to the so-called Russian military bloc. "It represents a continuation of our good relations with them, we are not their member, either, nor do we intend to be," he said.
Serbia an observer status there - i.e., in CSTO - which is the highest possible status for a non-member, Vulin said, adding that Serbia will continue "to take care of military neutrality."
