Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has informed journalists that negotiations are continuing for the release of Azerbaijani ships detained in Eritrea.

According to him, progress is being made in the negotiations. He also noted that negotiations are being conducted with the opposing side through embassies in Ankara and Moscow.

On November 7 last year, the ships CMS Pəhləvan, CMS İgid, and CMS-3, flying the Azerbaijani flag and operated by the subsidiary of Caspian Marine Services B.V. in Azerbaijan, were forced to enter Eritrean territorial waters due to deteriorating weather conditions on their way from the Suez Canal to Abu Dhabi.
