Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have signed a plan of bilateral military cooperation for 2019. The document was signed by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and his Uzbek counterpart Abdusalom Azizov on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Tashkent.

The two ministers discussed the ways of developing bilateral cooperation in the fields of defense and military education and military-technical area.

They agreed that Uzbek military experts will participate in international trainings to be held in Azerbaijan as observers.
