Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has met with the British Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan Baroness Emma Nicholson to discuss Azerbaijan-UK energy cooperation.

They discussed the UK`s assistance to Azerbaijan`s energy projects, pointed out the achievements of the Southern Gas Corridor project, which involves BP among other companies, and hailed the development of bilateral relations in the field of renewable energy.

Minister Shahbazov stressed wide opportunities for Azerbaijan-UK long-term cooperation in areas beyond energy, and described the UK as an important partner of Azerbaijan.

They also exchanged views on regional and global issues.
