Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev formed a new government on Saturday, says a decree posted on the presidential site.

Key ministers have retained their positions in the new cabinet. In particular, Ramil Idris ogly Usubov was appointed the Interior Minister, Elmar Magerram ogly Mamedyarov as the foreign minister, Zakir Asker ogly Gasanov as the defense minister, Kyamaleddin Fattah ogly Geidarov as the emergencies minister and Shakhin Abdulla ogly Mustafayev as the economy minister.

The former government resigned on April 18 after Ilham Aliyev, who had been reelected for the fourth term on April 11, was sworn in as Azerbaijan’s president.
