Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met with Vice-President of the Estonian Parliament Kalle Laanet to discuss prospects for development of relations between the two countries.

Minister Elmar Mammadyarov praised relations between the two countries. He pointed out the successful cooperation between the two countries in the field of information and communication technologies and e-government.

Touching upon the EU-Azerbaijan relations, Mammadyarov highlighted Azerbaijan’s participation in the Eastern Partnership, as well as briefed the Estonian side about the negotiations on a new agreement of strategic importance which will make up a legal basis for bilateral relations.

Laanet pointed to the great potential for cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies and transport.
