Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed two loan agreements in the amount of $250 million within ‘Improving Governance and Public Sector Efficiency Program, Subprogram 1’.

The agreement was signed by Finance Minister Samir Sharifovand Nariman Mannapbekov, Azerbaijan Country Director for ADB on June 8.

The program aims to deepen financial sector and ensure diversification of Azerbaijan’s economy. It will contribute to improvement of tax and budget planning.
