ARMENIA PRESIDENT, NEW URUGUAY AMBASSADOR DISCUSS COOPERATION

Newly appointed Uruguay’s Ambassador to Armenia Carlos Zgerbi von Steinmeier (residence in Tehran) handed over his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian.
President Sarkissian congratulated the diplomat and expressed confidence that the diplomatic experience of Mr. Steinmeier will contribute to the development of bilateral ties and will raise mutually beneficial cooperation to a new level.
President Sarkissian and Uruguay’s ambassador underscored active role of the Armenian community of Uruguay, which acts as a bridge for strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries and nations.
