Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan today received World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus, reports the Government of Armenia. World Bank Country Manager for Armenia Sylvie Bossoutrot was also attending the meeting.

Greeting the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that the year-end meeting serves as a good opportunity to recap the course of implementation of the joint programs and understand the future actions. Mher Grigoryan presented the results of the meeting that was held in November and during which the course of implementation of the programs being implemented with the support of the World Bank in Armenia was discussed comprehensively and with the participation of all the interested bodies. World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus expressed gratitude for the effective cooperation and attached importance to the approval of the Armenia Development Policy Operation: Fiscal, Economic and Public Sector Governance Program by the World Bank in November. The programs in the energy, healthcare and education sectors and the details were discussed during the meeting. Sebastian Molineus shared the successful experience in other countries and attached importance to the actions undertaken in the field of human capital development. The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the World Bank’s knowledge and experience and stated that there is a need to cooperate to ensure capital market development in Armenia as well.
