The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, condemned the burning of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden, while calling for a three-point stand.

Al-Sadr said in a tweet to him, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "After the persistence of the government of the Kingdom of Sweden in protecting (the burners of the holy Qur'an), and that is not freedom in anything ... We must take a serious stand:

First: My brothers, the Friday imams, must denounce this in a unified and stern manner, just as my brothers, the Friday worshipers, must bring a copy of the Qur’an with them to Friday prayers.
