Russian Deptuty Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has discussed with his Japanese counterpart Takeo Mori non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and global security, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

"The sides exchanged opinions on pressing issues of global and regional security, including WMD non-proliferation and arms control, and tackling new threats and challenges," the foreign ministry said.
