Georgian and Armenian Prime Ministers Mamuka Bakhtadze and Nikol Pashinyan met informally today in the village of Yenokavan in the Tavush province bordering Georgia.

Bakhtadze and Pashinyan discussed various issues of Georgian-Armenian relations and touched upon other topics of mutual interest as well, the Armenian PMs press office reported.

The two prime ministers expressed confidence that “the furtherance of cooperation will promote multifaceted exchanges between the two neighboring and friendly states in a number of areas.”

This is the second informal meeting between the Georgian and Armenian prime ministers. The first such meeting was held in January in the Georgian town of Bolnisi, which is predominantly inhabited by ethnic minorities, including Armenians.

Tomorrow PM Bakhtadze will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who has arrived in Georgia on a two day visit on March 24-25.
