European Council President Donald Tusk met U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday and said there are differences between Brussels and Washington on a number of issues, including their views on Russia.

In a short statement to reporters, Tusk said that he and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker discussed foreign policy, security, climate change and trade relations with Trump in Brussels on Thursday morning.

“But some issues remain open, like climate and trade, and I am not 100% sure we can say today...that we have a common position, a common opinion about Russia,” said former Polish premier Tusk in a short statement.
It was the first time Trump has met the EU’s two top officials.
