Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretary General Vladimir Norov of Uzbekistan today met Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China Parahat Durdyev to discuss cooperation between SCO and Turkmenistan, SCO Secretariat said.

The Turkmen Ambassador handed in the invitation to Vladimir Norov from President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to attend the International Conference “Neutrality Policy and Its Importance for International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development” set for 11-12 December 2020.

Vladimir Norov said an active participation of Turkmenistan in international affairs speaks of an important peacekeeping role of the country. “Turkmenistan is following the principles of preventive diplomacy, which are core elements in UN activities,” Vladimir Norov said.
