Deputy Finance Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Japan Ruslan Tatikov and Masato Kanda discussed plans to create a Kyrgyz-Japanese Development Fund at a meeting in Tokyo, the press service of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The fund is expected to influence the growth of investment, modernization and industrial development, as well as the effective expansion of bilateral economic cooperation and trade turnover, the report said.

In addition, the issue of exchanging Kyrgyzstan’s debt for climate projects was raised.
