On 14 January 2020 at the conference titled “Democratization and Europeanization in Georgia: A Path towards Democracy,” Dr. Yelda Karadağ - post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Black Sea and Central Asia (KORA) at Middle East Technical University (METU) - made a presentation on the relationship between democratization and Europeanization in Georgia since 1991. Within this framework, she evaluated to what extent Europeanization would trigger democratization in Georgia and elaborated important crossroads that led to the current democratic backsliding in this country.

The conference was concluded by the Q&A session.
