The EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, who facilitates Pristina-Belgrade high level dialogue, said Thursday that “despite difficulties, we are moving forward the negotiation between Serbia and Kosovo.”

The dialogue has been suspended last year after the Government of Kosovo introduced 100 percent tariffs on Serbian goods. Serbia is conditioning resumption of the dialogue with suspension of tax. Also EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini urged the Government of Kosovo to rescind the tax. But despite the EU and US calls Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says the tax will be revoked only after Serbia recognises Kosovo. In an interview with the Brussels-based Politiko Mogherini spoke about her work as the EU Foreign and Security chief, saying she saw the international nuclear deal with Iran as her greatest achievement. “It has avoided the nightmare scenario of an arms race in our region. And it continues to be fully respected, in spite of the attempts to make it collapse.”
