Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated Ursula von der Leyen on being elected President of the European Commission.

“I am pleased to note that Armenia has a hectic and comprehensive agenda with the European Union. We attach special importance to the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, which will help us to not only build on our ties, but also advance the Armenian government’s reform agenda.

Armenia has been and will remain a reliable partner for the European Union.

I am convinced that the shared values, as well as the radical changes that led to the triumph of democracy and the rule of law in Armenia, provide a solid groundwork for improving our relations and developing effective cooperation,” reads Pashinyan’s congratulatory letter.
